Our client is looking for a Data Scientist to join their Sandton team and help unlock the secrets hidden in big data. You’ll use machine learning, AI, and predictive analytics to drive business growth, optimise processes, and deliver insights that wow stakeholders.
What You’ll Be Up To
- Collect, clean, and tame large, wild datasets
- Build predictive models that actually predict trends
- Explore data like a detective 🔍—find patterns, correlations, and insights
- Present your findings in a way that even non-techies say “Wow!”
- Automate processes to make data-driven decisions faster ⚡
- Keep our data accurate, reliable, and trustworthy
- Collaborate with AI, analytics, and business teams to turn insights into action
What You Bring to the Party
- Honours degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Stats, Applied Maths, or similar
- 2–4 years’ experience as a data science pro
- Strong programming skills in Python (or equivalent) 🐍
- SQL skills to wrangle data like a champ
- Love for data exploration, statistical modelling, and storytelling
- Knowledge of Big Data systems and distributed computing
- Analytical mind, problem-solver, and excellent communicator 💬
- Bonus points for experience in financial crimes, customer retention, or trend analysis
