As a Cloud Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing cloud-based data architectures to help organizations unlock the full potential of their data. You will work with modern cloud technologies to build data pipelines, manage large datasets, and ensure the efficient processing and storage of data across cloud environments
Requirements:
- Degree or National Diploma degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering or a comparable field of study
- Experience with core Cloud Data Services: Familiarity with Glue, Redshift, S3, Lambda, EMR, Athena, Microsoft Fabric or Databricks
- Knowledge of big data technologies such as Apache Spark, Hadoop, or Kafka
- Scripting & Programming proficiency: Programming skills in Python, Pandas & SQL
- Database Management: Experience working with relational databases like AWS RDS, MS SQL, Azure SQL DB or Postgres.
- Solid Data Engineering background: Knowledge and experience of data modelling, ETL processes, and data warehousing.
- Infrastructure as code (IaC) proficiency: Experience with tools like AWS CloudFormation, Terraform or Azure ARM/Bicep
- DevOps fluency: CI/CD tools
- Cloud Certification (a plus)
Responsibilities:
- Designing and implementing optimal data models projects
- Identifying key performance improvement opportunities
- Creation of data validation models and ensuring data quality
- Working with clients and other team members to identify key data requirements
- Writing appropriate algorithms to interpret and serve the relevant data
- Build robust data solutions.
