Responsibilities:
- Responsible for building and maintaining Big Data Pipelines.
- Act as a custodian of data and ensure that data is shared in line with the information classification requirements on a need-to-know basis.
- Demonstrate expertise in data modelling Oracle SQL.
- Exceptional analytical skills analysing large and complex data sets.
- Perform thorough testing and data validation to ensure the accuracy of data transformations.
- Experience building data pipeline using AWS Glue or Data Pipeline, or similar platforms.
- Familiar with data store such as AWS S3, and AWS RDS or DynamoDB.
- Experience and solid understanding of various software design patterns.
- Knowledge of the Agile Working Model.
Technical Skills / Technology
- Terraform
- Python 3x
- SQL – Oracle/PostgreSQL
- Py Spark, ETL, Boto3
- Linux / Unix
- Powershell / Bash, Docker
- JIRA, Parquet, AVRO, JSON, XML, CSV etc.
- Experience with Tools such as Great Expectations, REST API’s is a bonus.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Degree in IT / Business / Engineering
- AWS Certifications
- Basic experience/understanding of AWS Components
The Reference Number for this position is NG58023 which is a Contract position in Pretoria and Johannesburg offering a contract rate negotiable between R370 to R450 per hour negotiable based on skills and experience.
