Senior Project Manager (Risk Experience) – Cape Town / Hybrid – R1.06m PA

As a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale, high-impact projects. You will lead cross-functional teams, ensuring that project goals are met on time, within scope, and on budget. You will work closely with stakeholders at all levels, including senior leadership, clients, and vendors, to ensure that every project is executed to the highest standard.

Requirements:

  • Information Technology/Informatics/BCom Degree/ Diploma in Project Management or Business Management or relevant RPL
  • Project Management certification (Agile Project Management, Scrum Master, DSDMPrince, etc)
  • 10 years’ project management experience, with a strong track record of leading and completing business or risk management projects
  • Ability to convey complex information clearly to stakeholders
  • Experience in the Financial Services, Banking, or Retail industries, with a focus on managing projects involving financial products and services
  • Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Relevant MS Project / Project Management software
  • Project Management lifecycle, from conception to close-out
  • Agile methodology (preferred)
  • Waterfall methodology (desirable)
  • System implementation

Responsibilities:

  • Project Management: Lead and manage end-to-end deliverables, ensuring alignment with business objectives and value delivery across multiple departments
  • Project Planning: Develop clear, comprehensive project plans, including objectives, timelines, resources, and deliverables
  • Drive Progress: Ensure timely achievement of milestones and navigate changes proactively
  • Financial Performance: Implement strategies to optimise asset utilisation, reduce liabilities, and improve financial outcomes
  • Change Management: Design and execute change management strategies to support project goals and drive process adoption
