Currently looking for a Full Stack JavaScript Engineer with strong leadership skills to take the helm of a growing team. If you’re a hands-on developer who thrives on guiding others, architecting scalable systems, and driving technical excellence, this is your opportunity to make a real impact.
Requirements:
- 10+ years of professional full-stack development experience
- Strong expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript, Angular, and Node.js
- 2 to 6 years leadership experience
- Experience building scalable backend systems and distributed architectures
- Familiarity with AWS or similar cloud platforms
- Mobile app experience with Ionic/Cordova or native frameworks
- Proven experience leading or mentoring development teams
- Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent practical experience
- Frontend: Angular (v17+), Ionic/Cordova, HTML5, CSS3, TypeScript
- Backend: Node.js, Redis, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Golang (a plus)
- Infrastructure: AWS (EKS, EC2, IAM, S3), Kubernetes, Terraform, Linux
- Messaging & Architecture: RabbitMQ, distributed systems
- DevOps & Monitoring: CI/CD pipelines, OpenSearch
- AI/ML (Bonus): OpenAI APIs, LangChain, vector databases, prompt engineering, RAG
Responsibilities:
- Architect, develop, and maintain full-stack applications (web, backend, mobile)
- Lead a small engineering team with mentoring, code reviews, and technical guidance 2
- Collaborate with product managers and founders on feature planning and architecture
- Drive high standards in code quality, testing, and CI/CD
- Oversee cloud infrastructure and ensure production reliability and performance
- Translate business needs into scalable, user-friendly solutions
- Assist in hiring, onboarding, and team growth
- Continuously improve processes, codebases, and engineering culture
- Contribute to incident response and production support as needed
